The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Image inspired by weighted red satin ribbons one of my friends gave to me (threaded tinto my hair). I shot this self-portrait in high-key lighting against a white back ground, hands resting on a white table to make the reds really pop out from the background.
